Ajax have confirmed the signing of Jordan Henderson with the England midfielder joining the Dutch giants on a two-and-a-half yr deal.
The former Liverpool captain joined Saudi Pro League aspect Al-Ettifaq in the summer in a massively controversial switch.
He returns to Europe after simply six months with Al-Ettifaq agreeing to terminate his contract.
In a press release launched on Thursday, Henderson stated: 'I'd wish to thank the club, the fans and all concerned for the chance and need them the most effective for the remainder of the season.
'Plenty of onerous work is going through which I do know will repay in the future.'
Al-Ettifaq club president Samer Al Misehal revealed the contract termination had been reluctantly agreed to 'avoid further distraction' to their season.
'Firstly, the membership want to thank Jordan for his efforts and need him the most effective for his future endeavours,' Al Misehal stated.
'We're all the time respectful of our gamers. The club and Jordan consider this quick determination, without any delay or further distraction, has been made for both the general good of the club and for Jordan.'
