Adrien Brody has recalled 'abandoning his life and loved ones' while filming his Oscar-winning role in The Pianist so that he could 'dig deep' into the character. The actor, 51, won Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 2003 Academy Awards for his role as Holocaust survivor Wladyslaw Szpilman.
