Broadcaster Steve Wright was found lifeless at residence after paramedics have been referred to as over an 'incident', it has been claimed.
Emergency providers sped to Wright's house in central London around 10am on February 12, however he was found dead at the scene.
A London ambulance spokesperson advised the Mail Online: 'We have been referred to as at 10.07am on Monday 12 February to studies of an incident.
'We sent quite a lot of assets to the scene. Very sadly, a person was pronounced lifeless on the scene.'
Meanwhile police advised Metro.co.uk his demise was 'sudden however shouldn't be being handled as suspicious,' adding a report is being prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson stated: 'We have been referred to as at 10:19hrs on Monday, 12 February after the physique of a man was discovered at a flat within the Marylebone area.
Officers responded together with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. A person in his 60s was pronounced lifeless on the scene. His next of kin have been knowledgeable.'
It comes hours after what's being described as Wright's 'final photograph' was posted to social media by his pal, composer Anthony James.
Within the snap, Wright wears a black go well with and tie and seems between concerned and amused, as he takes in a selfie with James.
The musician wrote that the duo had been trying to do what Wright had referred to as 'ironic selfies.'
Taking to X, James wrote: 'I can't sleep. I'm considering of my pricey pal Steve.
'We took this image 4 weeks in the past in New York. We have been making an attempt to do, as he put it "ironic selfies". He had such a love of Life and radio..He informed me "AJ the blond hair has to go!" I miss him.'
Wright was one of many country's most beloved and acquainted voices, having introduced programmes for BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2 for over four many years, and he was also a long-standing presenter of Prime Of The Pops on BBC One.
His last ever present was aired just days before his demise, which was a pre-recorded special Valentine's Day version of his Love Songs programme.
