A COMMUNITY has been left devastated after a beloved instructor was found lifeless following a freak accident.
Instructor and coach Dexter Butler was discovered lifeless outdoors of Key West High School by police on Saturday.
"His keys fell down the drain," Monroe County Faculties Superintendent Theresa Axford informed Keys Weekly, confirming Butler's dying and providing further details.
"He was reaching for them, misplaced his stability and fell face first, then drowned in 18 inches of water in the drain," she continued.
"Actually a tragedy on many ranges."
