It's been 4 years since indie rock band Travis launched their last album but their new music isn't what has caught followers' eyes – it's Fran Healy's hair.

The Flowers in the Window singers have introduced their return with a brand new single, Gaslight, forward of touring with The Killers this yr.

The 50-year-old frontman, who ended up in hospital last year, was exhausting to overlook in new footage as he sported a brilliant orange trim, an enormous change from his previous look.

Fran has been seen in more recent years with a full grey beard and lengthy grey hair, often tucked into a neat low bun for festivals.

Forward of the discharge of Travis' tenth studio album L.A. Occasions, the Why Does It All the time Rain on Me? hitmaker shaved his beard and minimize off his hair for this exceptional transformation.

Comparisons have been flying on social media, including to Sex Pistols icon John Lyndon — better referred to as Johnny Rotten.

His bandmates — Dougie Payne, Andy Dunlop, and Neil Primrose — all seemed a lot the same as they normally do, inflicting Fran's recent trim to stick out like a sore thumb.

'Bloody hell, he's copied Russ's look,' wrote Jim Leitrim on X, referring to kilt-wearing, orange-haired youngsters's presenter Russ Abbot.

'Slicing aboot like Vyvyan from the Young Ones noo,' added consumer pabbs1982, whereas @slideawaydreams joked: 'Cross between Johnny Rotten and Dennis Pennis.'

Probably the most Scottish responses got here from the band's Instagram announcement, with consumer a_wee_cuppa_tia commenting: 'Irn bru napper
